All our online tutoring is done over the internet - "live".
Web cams deliver "live" video pictures of you, the student,
and your tutor to each other over the Internet. You can talk to each
other using your microphones and listen using your headsets. We provide
the access, our tutors provide the learning and you receive the benefit
in better marks and study habits. |

in British Columbia, Canada, is the first school district to endorse
the "MyTutor.ca - online tutoring over the internet" program.
This means that we will make every effort to provide a service that
features the best available tutors who will help you learn what you

web cam and access to our technology allows for web cam communication

You and your parents can select from a growing list of accredited
tutors for any given subject, from elementary school to high school
through college and university
There are excellent math tutors available, ranging from elementary
school and high school math to Algebra tutors, Calculus tutors, are
available as well. Of course, Chemistry, Physics, English and other
high school courses are covered as well.

We specialize in ESL tutoring. Beginners can work
with younger tutors for as little as $12 per hour. More advanced English
tutoring is available for 20 to 35 dollars per hour. |

You can "interview" your tutor over the internet before
confirming your reservation for their services. To "interview"
a tutor click "subjects" under the search for a
tutor tab, and look for tutors that are available under the
"Live" interview subject area. For example, look for “math
tutor”. Reserve a time with the tutor of your choice. |

Online tutoring sessions can range from 30 to 60 minutes or
more, depending on your needs and wishes. |

MyTutor.ca specializes in offering ESL online tutoring services
and courses. |

Payment for tutoring services is made through MyTutor.ca. As
the intermediary, we use a commercially secure on-line payment system
from a division of Verisign, one of the leading international internet
payments company. |

The cost of a MyTutor.ca membership is very affordable.
MyTutor.ca membership is $25 per month, plus the hourly rate of the
tutor you choose. The $25 per month membership fee covers the cost
of providing the MyTutor.ca "Live" technology and the connection.

A "web cam and microphone" can be purchased from
any leading retailer for less than $70, and is wonderful
for use in non-tutoring situations too! A high-speed internet connection
is required - ADSL or cable. Any PC computer purchased in the last
three years should be adequate ( a PC Pentium III with a minimum processor
speed of 400Mhz is needed, using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. Unfortunately,
MacIntosh computer systems are not compatible with our technology
at this time.) |

from MyTutor.ca:
1. Access to the MyTutor.ca database of tutors for one month.
2. Access to the MyTutor.ca "Live" Interview process to
interview your tutor before you pay for your first tutoring session.
3. The right to cancel your MyTutor.ca membership after the first
"Live" Interview if you don't feel our service is right
for you.
4. Access to the MyTutor.ca "Face to Face" technology for
all your tutorial sessions.
5. The right to request a transfer from one tutor to another if you
feel that you are not benefiting from the tutor relationship.
